About the Artist

Lisa Hunter was born and educated in Sweden, where she studied under F. Stranberg in Bollnäs. She emigrated to Canada in 1975. The inspiration for her landscapes comes from her travels in Sweden as well as her experience of the Canadian countryside. Her paintings are an exploration of colour, light and the intrinsic qualities of nature. Lisa's paintings are in collections in Sweden, Germany, United States and Canada.

"The inspiration for my paintings comes from the snow covered fields of winter, the new life of spring, the hot hazy days of summer and the dancing colours of fall."
